Platt has been a family business in the heart of the Brevard community for more than 40 years. Specializing in designing custom homes since 1982, the company has evolved to offer an integrated suite of design services. Platt Architecture, Construction, Landscaping, and Interior Design.

Katie Jackson and Parker Platt partnered to create Jackson Platt, the Interior Design side of the business in 2016, to offer interior services.

Jackson Platt collaborates with our clients to create beautiful, functional, and timeless living spaces. Our dedicated team is intuitive and responsive to our clients’ visions. We work through the process of designing interiors in a calm, creative, and collaborative manner. We tailor our services to meet the needs of our clients and the scope of their projects. Our strength is in delivering full-service Interior Design that untangles the challenges of communicating with all of the teams involved with the design and construction of a home. We work with architects and builders throughout the construction schedule. Jackson Platt has honed our process to create fully furnished, move-in-ready homes.

KATIE jackson

Design Director

Katie, an Atlanta native, has been in the Interior Design business for over 25 years. Katie brings unique design sensibilities, a keen approach to understanding the needs of clients, and a tireless work ethic to each project. Katie draws inspiration from art, travels, and her talent in helping clients realize their desires for their homes. From designing custom furnishings to finding just the right piece, Katie ensures that every project blends the heart of the client’s vision with beautiful, livable, and deeply personal spaces that can be enjoyed for generations.

Emily mehta farlow

Project Manager + Designer
Emily Farlow grew up in Charlotte and has called Brevard home for over 10 years. Inspired by art, culture, and beautiful things, Emily’s favorite part of interior design is connecting with clients and transforming initial ideas into a beloved and soulful family home.

Lillian byers

Project Manager + Designer
Originally from Brevard, Lillian learned the ins and outs of residential interior design in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating to her hometown to work with Jackson Platt. Lillian embraces each project with an authentic spirit of creativity and is dedicated to helping clients realize the vision of their dream home.

Beth abrams

Office Manager
Beth was born in Fussa, Japan, and has lived in Washington, D.C., and St. Petersburg, FL, but has lived in Brevard, NC, for 18 years and now calls it home. She loves supporting the design team in creating personalized and curated homes that are tailored to each client.

Gabi purcell

Accounting Manager
Gabi grew up on the beautiful beaches of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She is passionate about spirituality and how to live more authentically in this world. Gabi thrives in the collaborative and forward-thinking environment of Jackson Platt and enjoys working with an inspiring group of women.

Merideth shepherd

Design Assistant
Merideth was born and raised in Western North Carolina and lives in Brevard with her husband, daughter, and sweet pup, Weezie. She loves to travel, cook, and entertain friends and family, and enjoys seeing as much live music as possible. Mere’s favorite part about working for Jackson Platt is the customer and client interaction. Creating a comfortable experience for visitors is what she enjoys most!

Jenni edney

Design Assistant
Jenni Edney is a Brevard native and comes to Jackson Platt after a much-needed break from healthcare and an enthusiasm to nurture her creative side. She also enjoys freelance writing on the side. Outside the office, you can find her on the tennis courts, exploring new restaurants, seeing live music, and spending time with her daughter Lilah and furry friend Loki.

ADRIENNE CISON

Design Assistant
Adrienne was born and raised here in Brevard, NC, and has always had an active mind and an urge to create. Outside the office, you can often find Adrienne hiking, reading, or spending time with friends outdoors. She’s happy to be back in our little mountain town and is thrilled to start her professional career with Jackson Platt.
